Nobumasa Takahashi Shinken-shiraha-dori / Bon ( Japanese Graffiti Series).
Nobumasa Takahashi is an artist and illustrator working globally from his atelier ‘Ba-chan House’ in Itabashi, Tokyo. A fanatic of working with mixed media, and an artist fond of representational painting, his approach can be perceived as ‘Western’ in Japan and ‘Japanese’ elsewhere, thus creating a unique blend of both cultures.
With his interactive project Japanese Graffiti, Nobumasa pays tribute to traditional Japanese sumie-drawings, the origin of manga comics. Nobumasa has been exhibiting his work extensively for the past 10 years.
