Alex and Shane met in 1985. Sharing everything from skateboards to music – but most of all time.

These fineliner illustrations happened at the same time as Nirvana. Taken from a series completed under the radar during maths, English, science and biology they are filled with impossible contraptions, glyphs and hidden messages. Everything from Quiksilver to Kyokushin, lost love, NASA, 3D dragons, shoe patterns and diamonds. Alex and Shane continue to work together throwing ideas back and forth between London and Melbourne for some the worlds greatest youth lifestyle brands – some of them just happen to feature in these illustrations from 20 years ago.
